Katherine Stalberg , B.A.

Katherine Stalberg comes to the Society with over 25 years of experience in program management related to international development and exchange, emergency management, and health. After receiving undergraduate degrees in anthropology and music, she became a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador where she worked as an educator, performer and music therapist. Following 13 years with the Partners of the Americas in Washington, D.C. she was employed as a dspecial consultant and hazard mitigation specialist with the Governor's Office of Emergency Services in California and also worked as a reservist with FEMA. Since relocating to North Carolina in1992, Kitty has worked as a project manager for the North Carolina Breast Cancer Screening Program at UNC-Chapel Hill and been involved in programming, fundraising for and organizing youth and professional exchanges between North Carolina and Bolivia through the NC-Cochabamba Bolivia Partners of the Americas. She remains active in the music community throughout the Triangle and as a volunteer with Partners. Kitty is very excited to begin serving the mission of the Society and hopes her background in fundraising and program management will contribute to its continued success and visibility as a major force in promoting educational achievement of our growing Hispanic population.
