Program at a Glance

The Hispanic Educational Summit 2012 is an initiative of the NCSHP to promote and disseminate information on the benefits of formal and higher education among the Hispanic youth of North Carolina.

There is a vital need to encourage Hispanic students to stay in school, excel in their studies and pursue higher education. The Summit has been planned in part to fulfill this need. As you know, educated Latino youth, who become acculturated role models, are a tremendous investment in North Carolina’s future.

Natividad Soto
Nascar Driver
/ Inspirational Speaker

marcozarate

Natividad Soto was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. While she was still an infant her family moved to the rough areas of Camden, New Jersey, where she lived through her childhood. She developed a tough mental attitude, which she still carries with her to this day. With that attitude in mind she gave herself the strength to prepare for the exciting yet dangerous sport of NASCAR and push to accomplish her dream of becoming the First Latina NASCAR Driver.
From the first time she saw NASCAR on television as a child in Camden, she knew where her heart was. The speed and danger of the sport gives her the adrenaline to work harder to get on to the track.
If you would like to learn more about Natividad you can visit her website at www.teamsotoracing.com.
