Position: Bilingual Community Specialist

Reports to: Support Services Program Director
Summary of Responsibilities:
Work in Direct Support Services Office to help members of the community become more familiar with ECH programs as well as Durham Carrboro and Chapel Hill programs and resources.
Specific Responsibilities, but not limited to:
Provide orientation to community members on how to navigate the system in order to connect to services and resources in any area of need including health, education, legal, employment, housing, etc).
Provide support to community members to manage stress, improve self-esteem, and develop social integration.
Assist community members to get the services they need in a timely manner.
Connect members to specialized services as needed, providing interpretation or informal translations whenever required by phone or through letters.
Evaluate the best approach to address each community member’s individual issues (referrals to appropriate services, completion of forms, phone calls to service providers, etc)
Identify and document the main issues that the Hispanic/Latino community is facing, to develop new strategies, initiatives, workshops, etc.
Advise the Support Service Program Director on how to address identified issues and provide recommendations of actions to be taken
Be a communication channel between service providers and community members to mediate, clarify and resolve matters
Direct community members to ECH programs for direct assistance whenever appropriate
Promote and participate in ECH events (Annual Gala, Health Fair, Open House, etc.).
Promote events and activities organized by ECH in partnership with other agencies.
Support community organizing as needed.
Promote and participate in Legal and Tax Clinics as needed.
Provide support to other activities or projects as may be assigned by the Support Service Program Director or ECH Executive Director.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Social Work or equivalent experience.
Bilingual - Fluent Spanish and English.
Knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by the Hispanic/ Latino community
Passion to work with the Hispanic/Latino Immigrant community.
Be able to deal and work with diverse communities with a high level of cultural competence.
Be able to work in a team as well as independently.
Customer service oriented, patient, professional, approachable, energetic, self-motivated and proactive.
Be able to maintain an organized and clean environment.
High social and networking skills
Be resourceful and helpful when dealing with complicated cases from community members
Basic computer skills required
Ability to work under pressure and stress
Hours per week: 40 (occasionally weekends and evenings)

Job Description:


Perform a variety of tasks in the inspection and packaging of biological products. Incumbent will be required to become certified in the inspection of final containers for content and container defects. Inspector will operate equipment such as the Cage Unloader, box taper and pallet lifts. Inspector will assemble components at a paced rate. Will perform all duties in strict adherence to cGMP guidelines.
Position Requirements

One year of pharmaceutical , chemical and/or production manufacturing experience in a regulated industry (FDA, USDA, NRC) obtained within the last 5 years OR

Graduation from an accredited college/university with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, Business, Teaching or a related curriculum OR

Weyerhaeuser-Inside Sales Representative (Preference Spanish Bilingual) Raleigh, NC

This position is a part of the Cellulose Fibers Business, Sales Division, and reports to a North American Zone Manager (ZM).  This is a Full Time, Non-Exempt, Replacement position. 

The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) manages customer accounts on a daily basis to ensure customer satisfaction and Weyerhaeuser requirements are being consistently met.  The ISR serves as the managing interface between customers, the Weyerhaeuser mills, technical services, zone mangement (ZM) and other support teams. The ISR provides sales support for assigned customers and works closely with other ISRs and ZMs in a team environment.

Key Functions:  
Works in a fast paced environment.  Manages customer accounts to deliver high quality customer service.  Executes duties to performance guidelines aligned with team goals for the Cellulose Fibers Business.  Serves as the daily customer point of contact on: orders and shipments, urgent requests, logistics and tracking, paperwork, and pricing management consistent with established procedures, guidelines and time frames. 

Communicates to internal and external audiences at all levels.  Resolves issues through troubleshooting, problem solving and taking action as required to reach resolution.  Interfaces with Business support groups including Credit, Finance, Transportation, and Supply and Demand teams.  Responsible for tracking and analyzing data relating to customers.  Works closely with customers to provide accurate forecasts to the Cellulose Fibers Business.  Maintains customer information and database systems including customer requirements and dossiers.  Manages customer action items, inventories, accrues, reconciles and processes rebates, processes claims, and is responsible for accurate pricing and forecast performance.  Responsible for managing A/R, ensuring that customers payments are current. Supports and provides backup to other inside sales representatives.  

Requirements
Ability to work well in a small, fast-paced, team-based office environment.  Experience in managing successful customer  relations. Commitment to delivering high quality customer service.  Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience bringing the right parties together and facilitating a prompt and thorough resolution to issues. Ability to work effectively under pressure particularly in addressing multiple customer and business needs with short turnaround time.  Demonstrated capability in troubleshooting and problem solving.  Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and manage diverse tasks.  Excellent computer and basic math skills; including MS Outlook, Word, and Power Point. Proficiency in Excel.

Desired
Spanish fluency. Familiarity with order management systems.  Ability to travel on a limited, as needed basis. Ability to flex time and work overtime as required.
