Nuestra Juventud Scholarship Program

Each year Univision 40 (WUVC) recongizes young Hispanic leaders in North Carolina's schools through their "Nuestra Juventud" scholarship program. More information below.

Important Dates

Applications can be obtained by writing or calling the NCSHP or by downloading an application. Final applications must be postmarked by October 17, 2008.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate must be a high school senior (12th grade) of Hispanic background
  • Candidate must have proven leadership, academic achievement and character
  • Must send a copy of certified transcript along with completed application

More Information

  • Seven students will be selected to receive a scholarship for the college or university of their choice.
  • Monthly winner will be featured on a vignette to run on Univision 40 for one month.
  • Vida Carolina will dedicate an entire show to the scholarship winners during the month of June.
  • The student with the highest overall score will receive an "Outstanding Achievement Award."
