What is TU Portal STEM?

Tu Portal STEM is a web portal dedicated to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), was designed to raise awareness and increase access to information about STEM education, STEM career opportunities, and STEM programs and opportunities for Hispanic students and their families.

  • Enroll Hispanic students in STEM year-long programs, after-school programs, and competitions.

  • Encourage Hispanic students to pursue careers in STEM fields.

what you will find

  • Information on STEM programs and opportunities across NC. A prominent link to NC STEM Center.org is included in TuPortalSTEM with step-by-step instructions on how to search for after-school, summer, and year-long STEM programs that are closest to you.

  • Information on STEM resources. A variety of links to different STEM resources provided by other organizations and providers promoting STEM education, including STEM associations for students.  

  • Information on STEM careers and general topics. A number of topics on STEM from “What is STEM?” to education and career planning in STEM and STEM Career highlights.

  • Family Engagement Strategies. We are focused on providing ways for your family to participate in fun, engaging STEM projects.

¿Qúe es Tu Portal Stem?

Tu Portal STEM es un portal web dedicado a la Ciencia, la Tecnología, la Ingeniería y las Matemáticas (STEM). Fue diseñado para crear conciencia y aumentar el acceso a la información entre los estudiantes hispanos y sus familias sobre la educación STEM, carreras en STEM y programas y oportunidades en STEM.

  • Inscriba a estudiantes hispanos en programas STEM de todo el año, programas extracurriculares y competencias.

  • Aliente a los estudiantes hispanos a seguir carreras en los campos STEM.

  • Información sobre programas y oportunidades en STEM. Se incluye un enlace prominente a NCSTEMCenter.org en TuPortalSTEM con instrucciones paso a paso sobre cómo buscar programas en STEM después de la escuela, durante el verano y durante todo el año escolar que estén más cerca de ti.

  • Información sobre recursos en STEM. Una variedad de enlaces a diferentes recursos en STEM ofrecidos por otras organizaciones y proveedores que promueven la educación en STEM, incluyendo asociaciones STEM para estudiantes.

  • Información sobre carreras en STEM y temas generales. Una serie de temas sobre STEM desde “¿Qué es STEM?” hasta educación y planificación en STEM y ejemplos de carreras en STEM.

  • Estrategias de participación familiar. Nos enfocamos en proporcionar formas para que su familia participe en actividades STEM divertidas e interesantes.
